County Hall is the HQ of Tory-run Nottinghamshire County Council, led by the appropriately named Kay Cutts. As public sector unions took action in defence of their pensions on November 30th, it was just one of the hundreds of picketed building across the country.
Direct action was taken against Ken Clarke's constituency offices on Thursday. While doughnut eating cops were dozing near by, the Tory social club on Rectory Road, West Bridgford had its doors D-locked shut and "Tory Scum" painted on it. The offices of the Rushcliffe Conservative Association across the road were attacked with paint and the messages "Class War" and "Fuck Ken in the Head" were pain…
On Thursday 24th February, Unison members at Nottinghamshire County Council were out on strike against £150 million budget cuts. The strike was timed to coincide with the council meeting where the budget was to be set. The union also organised a march across Trent Bridge and a rally in front of County Hall.

On Thursday October 21st, Notts County Unison organised a demonstration at County Hall, West Bridgford against the cuts advocated by the Tory-led authority. Coming the day after the Coalition Government's "Comprehensive Spending Review," the event attracted around 500 people, a mixture of council workers, service users, campaigners and local residents.
Militants attacked Nottinghamshire County Hall in West Bridgford last night. "Fuck austerity!" and "Fight the cuts!" were painted on walls and £10,000 of damage was done to windows. In an anonymous communique published on Indymedia, they claim that they will "continue to attack in solidarity with all those who are abused by goverments and banks in the name of capitalism".
