Forest Recreation ground - Trinity Square, City Centre

On June 30, 2011, 4 unions are organising to bring nearly 1 million workers out on strike against the cuts and changes to pensions, including trade unionists and teachers. Nottingham organisations are holding a rally and march for that day in solidarity with the nationwide strike action.

Meet at Forest Recreation Ground at 11AM

March to City Centre

12:15-3PM Trinity Square open for activities, community speeches and music

1:30-2PM Royal Albert Hall will be open for formal speeches

We need to make June 30th a big day, to show solidarity with the workers going on strike and to show resistance both locally and nationally.

We hope that people will be able to support pickets at schools in the morning, walk out if it's feasible and attend the rally & march on their lunch break. If you can't make it, then show support in whatever way you can, perhaps go to a nearby school on your lunchbreak and speak to any strikers on a picket line there.
